Submit your abstract for the Fourth Annual FLARE Network Meeting October 17-20, 2018
University of Copenhagen, Denmark
The FLARE (Forests and Livelihoods: Assessment, Research, and Engagement) network, supported by DFID and coordinated from the School for Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan, is pleased to announce the Call for Abstracts for our 4th annual meeting. This year’s meeting is being organized in partnership with the University of Copenhagen and the University of East Anglia, who will also host a special forum on Timber Legality on October 17, 2018 (http://symposium.prodjus.eu/) This year’s FLARE meeting will continue to elicit presentations around a variety of key topics in the field, but will also offer a pointed opportunity to share and discuss our successes and failures in research and in practice. Special Issue proposals from accepted papers are a possibility, and we welcome participant engagement in proposal development. The meeting will also feature workshops on “Sharing research for impact” and on FLARE’s app-based tools (LivWell and CommFor), and we welcome abstracts for additional participant-facilitated workshops. Abstracts for oral presentations, lightning talks, panel sessions, posters, and workshops must address a meeting theme and follow the abstract guidelines. For theme descriptions, abstract guidelines, details about financial assistance for students and scholars from lower income countries, and to submit your abstract, please visit the meeting webpage:
Abstract submission deadline: April 1, 2018
