Action alert! Tell Congress to fund a comprehensive addiction response

New federal funding for addiction has just been announced, Jon. And you can help ensure that money saves as many lives as possible.

Congress recently made a historic pledge to spend $6 billion addressing our country’s addiction epidemic. It’s an incredible step, but in order to truly turn the tide of this crisis, that money must be spent smartly on programs that are proven to work.
Contact your reps
Shatterproof has joined with over 125 fellow addiction organizations to send a letter to the House and Senate Appropriation Committees, offering specific guidance on how to spend these funds.

Our letter urges Congress to support a comprehensive response to addiction that includes prevention, treatment, recovery supports, overdose reversal, law enforcement and criminal justice reform. All these recommendations are based on science, research, and results.

You can support this effort by contacting your members of Congress and telling them to follow the guidance of this letter.

174 Americans die every day from drug overdoses. But addiction is a preventable, treatable disease. By advocating for solutions like these, you can help spare families affected by addiction so much suffering.
