Food vs Forests? We've got a better solution.

Overpopulation
How Will We Feed The 9.8 Billion People Who Will Share Earth In 2050?

In the next thirty years our planet's population will grow drastically by more than two billion. Resource scarcity, drought, and famine will devastate already vulnerable populations — driven by the expanding global consequences of climate change.

The race to feed the world’s growing population while conserving natural resources begins now.

The Rainforest Alliance is leading the movement to adapt to the new realities of climate change. The farmers we work with are already noticing incremental but undeniable changes in their environment: rainy seasons are growing shorter and dry spells longer, while new pests, diseases, and patterns of crop failure emerge.
Studies show that the weather will continue to grow more extreme, making it all the more critical that farmers learn and apply climate-smart methods now.
We're training farmers around the world to conserve forests, boost the productivity of the land, and support the well-being of their communities. Today, nearly nine million acres of land are being managed sustainably — bringing us closer to an Earth rebalanced. Help expand these efforts for the next generation and the future of our planet.
