And scientists have just discovered a giant hole in the ozone layer above Antarctica.
But in just two years time the world came together and approved an internationally binding treaty that would heal the ozone layer. This treaty, known as the Montreal Protocol, is the most successful global environmental treaty in the history of the world. It is the only environmental treaty ratified by every country on the planet.
