The City of San Francisco announced an unanimous resolution on Tuesday that formally apologizes for its past atrocities against the Chinese community.

The decision by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors acknowledges that the city's discriminatory policies had a significant impact on the Chinese community, according to San Francisco Chronicle.
