Time for your ideas: Test the climate conversations coach
Hi Jon,
I’m Tara Mahoney, the research fellow in climate change communication at DSF.
As part of my research, I’ve been digging into innovative approaches to engage with a larger and wider range of people in the climate movement. One of the most important things you can do about climate disruption is to talk about it with friends, family and neighbours. This can help us come to agreement so we can focus on solutions.
But talking about climate change is not easy, especially when there is disagreement.
So, we’ve been working on a chatbot to help you to talk about the climate emergency in a way that depolarizes the issue and speaks to shared values.
We are super excited about it, but we want to make sure it will be awesome.
This is where you come in.
Try the chatbot now!
We need collaborators to test the functionality, user experience, look/feel and whether the bot helps you have constructive conversations. Your feedback will influence how we design the final version. You might see your ideas in it!
We also need to give the bot a name and want your creative ideas!
If you’re interested, please
  1. Give the chatbot a try. It takes about five minutes.
  2. Fill out this survey to tell us how it went, what you liked, where we can improve and what you think would be a good name for the bot.
PLEASE DO NOT SHARE this with anyone. We want to incorporate your feedback before we release it to the public.
You have until October 8th to provide feedback.
I look forward to hearing your thoughts,
Tara Mahoney
