17 Organizations Feeding and Healing the World Through Regenerative Agriculture

Dear Jon,

Greetings from New Orleans!

This week, to celebrate the hardworking individuals and organizations dedicated to healing agro-ecosystems around the world, Food Tank is highlighting 17 organizations that are leading the way in regenerative agriculture. While some agricultural practices can result in soil degradation and deforestation, agriculture can also be the solution! By using farming principles that mimic nature, like agroforestry and well-managed grazing, regenerative agriculture has the power to grow nutritious food while progressively improving our soil, our ecosystems, and our health.

Among these organizations are those advocating for regenerative agriculture practices, raising awareness about the connections between soil and climate change across various sectors, restoring wastelands, and empowering rural farmers and communities by educating them about agroecological and permaculture farming and dietary diversity. Through consulting, trainings, and workshops these organizations are implementing various techniques to expand sustainable agriculture practices and improve health across the globe.

Spotlighted organizations include: Aranya Agricultural AlternativesGrounded, Kiss the Ground, RegenAG, Regeneration International, Rodale Institute, Soil Capital, Soils,Food, and Healthy CommunitiesSoil FoodWeb InstituteSustainable Harvest International, Terra Genesis International, The Carbon Underground, The Ecological Farming Association (EcoFarm), The Land Institute, The Savory Network, The Timbaktu Collective, and The Traditional Native American Farmer’s Association(TNAFA).
