In what was a slew of air pollution announcements this week, the creation of a new clean air action plan was also discussed at the National Environmental Work Conference. Minister Li Ganjie said that the new plan would lead to even greater air quality results by 2020. According to South China Morning Post, the next three-year plan will shift its focus from industrial emissions to vehicle emissions. Actions could include limiting high-emission vehicles from entering cities like Beijing altogether and further capping the number of vehicles allowed on the roads.
