Bone up on climate for the holidays

You’re one of our most dedicated online activists.
I can’t thank you enough for all you are doing to help us fight back against President Trump’s reckless environmental and climate agenda.

Members and activists like you often ask, "What more can I do to help?" One really useful thing we can all do is to engage in conversations with our friends and family on these important issues—particularly the issue of climate change, which has become so polarizing and where personal conversations can help find common ground and foster bipartisan support.

And just in time for the holidays, our friends at UC Berkley have produced an insightful video series “Cal Future Forum: Our Changing World.” They’re produced in a TED Talks format, focused on climate change and innovative technologies to help us adapt to our changing world.

It’s a YouTube playlist of 17 five-minute videos. Pick one or two that interest you, or binge on them all to dive deep on a range of topics—from calculating the social cost of carbon…to demonstrating the threat to biodiversity…to new building designs to protecting communities from sea level rise.

So take a few minutes to bone up on climate threats and emerging solutions—and develop a few new talking points for your conversations over the Thanksgiving break.

We hope you enjoy—and thanks again for your activism and support.

Happy holidays,

Sam Parry
