FAO Conference endorses expanded scope of the International Poplar Commission

The potential of fast-growing trees to contribute to action on climate change, improve the environment and people’s livelihoods, and boost sustainability has gained added recognition by the FAO Conference, which has endorsed the International Poplar Commission’s request to expand the scope of its mandate beyond poplars and willows to other fast-growing trees worldwide.

Reporting and analysis, the cornerstone of safe forest work
