Dear Colleagues,
Call for Authors for SDG 13-Climate Change: "Encyclopedia of the Sustainable Development Goals: Transforming the World We Want"
As you are probably aware, in September 2015 the UN General
Assembly approved the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development”. On 1st
January 2016, the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development officially
came into force. The goals cover the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic growth, social
inclusion and environmental protection.
There are to date no comprehensive publications addressing the SDGs in
an integrated way. Therefore, the "Encyclopedia of the Sustainable
Development Goals: Transforming the World We Want"
is being produced by the World Sustainable Development Research and
Transfer Centre and the Inter-University Sustainable Development
Research Programme, being published by Springer, as part of the
award-winning "World Sustainability Series":

The Encyclopedia encompasses 17 volumes, each one devoted to one of the
17 SDGs. Goal 13 (Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts) is very important to us.
The editorial team is calling for expressions of interest from colleagues working with climate change, who may wish to support
this project and may be interested to act as authors, writing chapters for Volume 13, which focuses on matters related to
climate chage.
This is a honorary, i.e. non-paid position, but entails a wide visibility since the names and affiliation of the authors will
appear on the publication both in print, as well as on the on-line version, which they will be able to access free of any charges.
Contributions to the Encyclopedia are peer-reviewed and hence officially count for promotion and tenure purposes.
If you think you can accept our invitation to act as authors for the above chapters,
please let Prof. Tony Wall know: Tony Wall t.wall@chester.ac.uk.
He will then send you more details. You are welcome to take part on the world´s largest editorial project on sustainability
ever undertaken. Many thanks.
Rgds,
The ICCIRP Team
