New Online Short Course: Understanding Forest Carbon Management

We would like to send out a reminder for those interested that our new online short course - Understanding Forest Carbon Management – will open this Monday, July 15th and will close on October 15th. Participants can complete the course at their own pace within this window, and can generally expect that the course will take 6-8 weeks to complete. Interested individuals may register at https://www.canr.msu.edu/fccp/short-courses/understanding-forest-carbon-management. Due to support from the USDA, special pricing is available for our target audience. Space is limited at the discounted rate and we ask that interested participants reach out to us at forestc@msu.edu.

This course was developed in partnership with the USDA to provide a robust introduction to forest management specific to carbon while boosting confidence for natural resource professionals in this interdisciplinary topic. Thematic areas include carbon cycle and storage science, policy overview, project case studies, management considerations, measurement basics, and available tools and support.

For more information, visit https://www.canr.msu.edu/fccp/short-courses/understanding-forest-carbon-management. This page includes registration instructions, course pricing and a recording of an informational webinar that we hosted in early June. You are also welcome to reach out to us directly at forestc@msu.edu with any questions or to discuss course information. Apologies for any cross-posting.

We hope to have you join us!

Sincerely,
Lauren
