To the moon

China has begun preparatory work on the spaceships that will take taikonauts to the moon and back by 2030.

The China Manned Space Agency says the lander will be able to carry two people down to the lunar surface along with a rover, life support and other gear.

The agency is asking the public to suggest names for the lander and a new-generation manned spacecraft that will take the crew to the moon and bring them home.
