Join Us: Learn about southern sea otter conservation during Sea Otter Awareness Week!

Join Us During Sea Otter Awareness Week to Learn About Southern Sea Otter Conservation!

Jon,

Join Defenders on Wednesday, September 27th during Sea Otter Awareness Week for our webinar on returning southern sea otters to northern California!

The northern coast of California is in trouble – kelp forests have collapsed, and they need to be restored. Sea otters play a critical role in maintaining the natural balance of kelp forests, but southern sea otters have not expanded their range northward for 25 years and remain absent from northern California.

We’ll present a Defenders-led project to create a conceptual plan for expanding the southern sea otter range, expediting the continued recovery of this species and aiding in rewilding the coastal ecosystems of California.

We encourage you to join us for this otter-focused presentation and chat! Sign up today to save your spot and receive a reminder!
