'Better than you think'

China’s ambassador to the United States has penned an article for the Washington Post titled “The Chinese economy is doing better than you think.”

Xie Feng shared statistics contradicting recent headlines about China’s economic health. He said the business environment is improving and consumption is rebounding.

Homebuyers are one group that is benefiting from government action. Interest rates for first-time home purchases are being lowered, as are minimum down payments.

In addition, relaxed rules for first-home purchases were announced by Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.
