Join award-winning filmmakers at the FilmAid Film Festival – for free!

 

Join us at the 2020 FilmAid Film Festival FilmAid, a project of Internews, is putting its annual Film Festival online for the first time, and you’re invited!  Running November 12-24, with a celebrity-studded Gala Awards ceremony on November 18th, the festival showcases the best work of established filmmakers as well as emerging filmmakers trained in FilmAid workshops. Films are free to watch – get your pass now Join us for the Gala Awards Celebration on November 18th!  The Festival will culminate in a Virtual Gala on November 18th at 7pm ET. We are honored to announce that we will be joined by Oscar-nominated Marjane Satrapi, the Iranian-born French creator of the graphic novel and film Persepolis, and acclaimed Indian filmmaker Mira Nair, director of Monsoon Wedding and Queen of Katwe. Amongst other special guests yet to be announced, they will present awards for best dramatic short, best documentary short, best actor, best director, and best emerging filmmaker.   About the FilmAid Film Festival  FilmAid harnesses the power of film to educate, inspire and empower refugees and other vulnerable communities around the world.
