Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi visited Japan and South Korea this week at the invitation of his Japanese counterpart Toshimitsu Motegi and South Korean counterpart Kang Kyung-wha.
While in Tokyo, Wang conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping's message to Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga, adding that important consensus on bilateral ties had been reached during the two leaders' phone conversation in September.
On Thursday, Wang Yi met with South Korean President Moon Jae-in in Seoul on Thursday, and the two sides agreed to deepen cooperation on regular epidemic prevention, control work and promote synergy of the Belt and Road Initiative and the development strategies of the South Korean side.
