Dear Jon, It is my privilege to share a special report on American Rivers’ impact in 2020. In a year of unthinkable loss and hardship, we fought boldly and made real progress for healthy rivers and clean water everywhere, for everyone — thanks to supporters like you. Can’t see the video? Click here. This is my final impact report as American Rivers’ president and CEO before I retire in January. It has been the honor of my life to lead this tremendous organization for the past nine years. I couldn’t be more grateful for all we have accomplished together. Our impact is real. It is a cool, free-flowing stream for a salmon to leap up. It is a glass of fresh water for someone you love. It is a community safe from the risk of flood damage. It is the opportunity for you to hike, fish, paddle or just relax on a riverbank and soak in the beauty of nature. Our work is far from finished — but today, take a moment to visit AmericanRivers.org/Impact2020 to explore and celebrate all that we achieved in 2020. I hope you feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, and that you’ll recommit to supporting us in the efforts ahead. For the rivers, |
