Join us for an Organoleptic Workshop on Jan. 16th  2021 with Andy Ellis, founder of Spring Wind Herbs dispensary and Peg Schafer, of the Chinese Medicinal Herb Farm.  This workshop is for both farmers and herbalists.  Andy will lead participants through an organoleptic analysis, diving deep into specific herbs to determine medicinal quality using the five senses to explore plant materials.

For farmers this sensory evaluative process is vital for learning how to assess optimal herbal material from one of the most respected herb buyers in the US. 

For herbalists, this workshop offers a unique experience to develop sensory skills to assess top quality medicine and to engage with the people who are growing the herbs.  Peg will share how to develop these high quality herbs through proper cultivation, harvesting and processing.

CEU credits for licensed practitioners are pending.  Plans are to hold this workshop online. If social distancing restrictions are lifted by that time, the event will be held in-person at a venue in Berkeley, California. Seats will be limited to ensure lots of hands on experience.  This workshop is hosted by the Lilium Initiative and Yellow Emperor.  Discounts are available for Lilium Initiative members.
