Your Summer e-magazine is ready!

Dear Jon,

This is often the time of year when we look back on what we’ve accomplished over the previous year. Thanks to you and your fellow Greenpeace supporters all around the world, we kick off the holiday season buzzing from fantastic victories and milestones that we’ve passed on our way to a greener and more peaceful world!

In this issue of Kākāriki, read about the great progress you’ve made possible, in our agriculture and plastics campaigns--I hope you’ve got your togs ready for Summer, because, thanks to you, we’re one step closer to swimmable rivers and plastic free oceans!

You might have been following the news about Central Plains Water (CPW), a new dam under construction in Canterbury. But why is Greenpeace involved? We’ve recently taken direct action on three separate occasions to oppose the dam and to demand a restoration of democracy to ECan (Environmental Canterbury). Click through the e-magazine to read all about the action and get the inside scoop!

Fed up with the amount of plastics in their waters, New Zealanders have put pressure on their supermarket chains against single use plastic bags--and now two of the biggest chains have stepped up for some major changes. Click here to read all about it inside the issue.

Jon, as a champion for the environment, I hope that you feel proud when you reflect on what you’ve accomplished this year. Because of you, we’ve achieved so much in 2017. Victories for our oceans, our climate and our rivers couldn’t have happened without your support. Thank you. Now it’s time for us to look forward to the future: there is still a whole lot to do, but with you on our team, I know we’re one step closer to a better world.

Kia kaha,

Brad and the whole team at Greenpeace

P.S We still have a few of our 2018 calendars available for sale. Click here to order and you’ll receive your order in the next 3-5 days. More information is available here.
