Jon,
“Some call me ‘Nature.’
Others call me ‘Mother Nature.’
I don’t really need people. But people need me.”
Mother Nature has been around for 4.5 billion years — more than 22,000 times longer than humans have. Mother Nature can be warm or cold, soft or stern, quiet or fierce. But like it or not, with or without people, Mother Nature can and will go on.
So, let's listen to her (for our own good). She holds the key to stabilizing life on Earth. Saving nature is saving ourselves. And if just one piece is missing in her delicate balance, then nothing will work:
- We need healthy soil to feed our growing population
- We need healthy oceans because they are the origin and engine of all life on this planet
- We need healthy forests to generate oxygen, store water and regulate climate
Thank you, The team at Conservation International
