Panda lovers in China will soon be breathing sighs of relief. Experts from the Beijing Zoo are making final preparations to bring home Ya Ya the giant panda.

She has spent the past 20 years at a zoo in Memphis in the U.S. state of Tennessee, but her health has deteriorated in recent years. Fans in China have been clamoring for her return.

Two Chinese experts are helping to care for her until the end of April when she is due to fly home. Ya Ya's mate of two decades, Le Le, was supposed to return with her, but he died of heart disease in early February.
