Dear Jon,
Do you enjoy watching birds from home? Did you know that birdwatching is a gateway to a powerful mindfulness practice? It’s called a ‘bird sit’.
A bird sit is like an outdoor meditation with a focus on birds. They provide similar benefits to mindfulness practices, including relaxation and quiet mind. They also cultivate a deeper awareness of the birds around us and reveal the birds’ secret languages.
Join us for a 30-minute virtual Mindful Bird Sit on Friday, May 20th at 12pm, PT as part of the World Meditation Day celebrations. To participate, find a nice spot to sit down where you can see or hear birds. You can tune into the guided bird sit practice via ZOOM.
A bird sit routine can be a powerful anchor in your life. To learn more about the 5 steps to a bird sit, check out this article. Join us on Friday and take a breather with birds.
See you there,
Molly Tsongas
