Who's behind your Fair Trade pineapple?

Meet Miladis Vasquez. In addition to supporting her family and working a day job in the warehouse of a Fair Trade pineapple farm in Costa Rica, she also takes on additional leadership responsibilities as treasurer of her Fair Trade Committee. This past December, she spoke to a crowd that included executives from Dole and Whole Foods, government officials, and national press about her role in a recent project to develop a community center with Fair Trade Community Development Funds. Now, she has a message for you.

"Please keep buying our pineapples so we can continue building projects in our communities. We have no way to thank you, except by saying thanks and continuing to provide the best product we can."  - Miladis Vasquez
