Guess how much carbon we’ve removed from the environment…

World Environment Day 2019 asks us to combat air pollution and reduce our impact on the environment.
Did you know as a Trees for the Future supporter you’ve helped us remove 39,725 metric tons of carbon from the air since 2015?
We’ve planted 180 million trees around the globe over the past 30 years, fighting air pollution one tree at a time. In 2015 we shifted to the Forest Garden Approach and began calculating just how much carbon we remove with each outplanting. Each Forest Garden is made up of thousands of trees and can sequester about 62.8 tons of carbon over a 20-year period.
From 2015 to 2019 Trees for the Future established 19 Forest Garden projects totaling 5,138 Forest Gardens across Sub-Saharan Africa.

And that number just got even bigger...

SPECIAL UPDATE: Announcing the addition of
15 new Forest Garden projects in 2019 (so far)

Between 2015 and 2019 we launched 19 Forest Garden projects, this year alone we've launched 15 new Forest Garden projects - 5,138 Forest Gardens - bringing our total to 34 Forest Garden projects. That’s 7,084 Forest Gardens and nearly 59,000 people benefiting from them. We’ve practically doubled the number of Forest Gardens and our impact on people, planet, and profit. Over the next 20 years, these Forest Gardens will mature and remove about 300,000 metric tons of carbon from the air, all while helping farming families live healthier, more resilient lives.
Read more about our new projects and how we plan to scale up to provide the best in education and training to Forest Garden farmers.

If you’re looking for a way to help the environment today, give to Trees for the Future and help us continue to remove carbon from the air for 30 more years and beyond.

Thank you and Happy World Environment Day!
