ENB This Week: Crunch Time for Bonn Climate Talks, HLPF Preparations Underway

Colleagues,
Our team has been at the Bonn Climate Change Conference, bringing you daily updates on talks about the budget and Article 6 (market and non-market approaches) among other agenda items. Our full summary and analysis of the conference will be published next Monday, 1 July. In two weeks, we will be fully focused on the July 2019 session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (HLPF), as detailed below.
Hot Off the Press
The ninth meeting of the Ad Hoc Open-ended Working Group to Enhance the Functioning of the Multilateral System (MLS) of access and benefit-sharing (ABS) of the International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGRFA) reached a tentative compromise to amend Annex I of the Treaty (list of crops in the MLS). Negotiations will continue before the eighth session of the Treaty's Governing Body in November 2019. http://enb.iisd.org/biodiv/itpgrfa/owg-efmls-9/
