NEW REPORT: 'Hot, Dry & Deadly' - but it doesn't have to be!

Jon --

Where’s your favourite place in nature? Whether it’s on the beach, in a forest or on the ski slopes I’ve got some unacceptable news.

Today we’re releasing our new Hot, Dry and Deadly report that exposes what climate change will mean for ecosystems and wildlife in NSW unless we slash our carbon pollution right now.
Check out our quick video on Facebook or YouTube for report highlights, or read the full report here.

From the sweeping northern woodlands of Pilliga forest to the coastal lagoons and beaches and the Snowy Mountains, the impacts of climate change are stark.
Our report draws on independent research from leading experts and paints a picture of what’s in store for NSW if we don’t act decisively on climate change.
The dire predictions outlined in the report assume we continue to pollute as we are today, which means we can avert the worst impacts of climate change if we drastically cut our pollution starting today.
In NSW, electricity generation is responsible for half our carbon emissions because we still get more than 80% of our power by burning dirty coal and gas. By ditching fossil fuels and turning to renewables, we will slash our contribution to climate change and give our forests and wildlife the best chance of a healthy future.
Thanks for everything you do for nature, our climate and future generations.  I hope the report puts more wind in your sails.
