Chinese FM calls on efforts to deepen ties with Brazil despite pandemic

Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi said China and Brazil should strengthen strategic communication, mutual trust and cooperation despite the COVID-19 pandemic.

Wang made the remarks in a virtual meeting with Brazilian Foreign Minister Carlos Franca on Thursday. 

Wang said China and Brazil are two major countries and emerging markets, and both should shoulder responsibilities for maintaining world peace and promoting global development.

Despite the global pandemic, both countries should continue to deepen cooperation in various fields, Wang said.
