It's a good day to be happy, Jon!

Jon, happy International Day of Happiness!

Did you know we're on our way to planting 50 million trees this year and reaching more than 14,000 farmers? Farmers in our program are living more healthy, resilient, and happy lives!

And did you know that you are a huge part of making that happen?

Your support is making people and the environment happier every day, Jon, so in honor of the International Day of Happiness, we'd like to bring some happy TREES updates to your inbox.

Forest Landscape Restoration

We're so excited to share our chapter in the newly published "Forest Landscape Restoration and Social Opportunities in the Tropical World." CEPAN and the University of British Columbia collected research and case studies on Forest Landscape Restoration from around the world. TREES' chapter is focused on a six-year case study on the Forest Garden Approach and it's ability to end hunger and poverty for farming families. Find our chapter on page 172.

45 New Projects, 9 Countries

In case you missed it, we've launched 45 new projects this year. This means we are planting more trees and changing more lives faster than ever. TREES staff, partners, and Forest Garden farmers are hard at work across nine different countries. Take a closer look at our work in each country on our Instagram, we've spent two days on each country and are focusing on our newest country, Chad, today!

Good News, Earth!

Unsustainable land use is the leading cause of climate change and we know it's time to take action for the future of our planet. The good news is that we have the solution to the most pressing challenges facing our environment. In honor of Earth Day (April 22nd), join our Good News Movement this April as we share the strides we've made in environmentalism so far and the plans we have for the future. Stay tuned for more information on upcoming events and how you can get involved!
While we look forward to Earth Month, don't miss International Day of Forests tomorrow and World Water Day on Monday. Days like this help increase awareness of deforestation, water access, and more.

Thank you for helping us spread awareness, hope, and happiness every day!
