China National Space Administration (CNSA) on Thursday released three high-definition images of Mars, two panchromatic images and one colored, captured by China's Mars probe, Tianwen-1.
With a resolution of about 0.7 meters, the camera captured clear small craters, ridges, dunes and other features on the surface of Mars. The largest crater is estimated to be about 620 meters in diameter. Check out all the pictures here.
China's first Mars probe Tianwen-1 is expected to land on the Red Planet in May or June, Bao Weimin, director of the Committee of Science and Technology under the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said on Thursday in Beijing.
