China updates COVID-19 diagnosis and treatment protocol

January 13, 2023

China released the latest version of the diagnosis and treatment protocol for severe cases of COVID-19 patients on Friday.

Based on summarizing the characteristics of COVID-19 and clinical treatment experience, the new version of the diagnosis and treatment protocol is designed to further guide local governments in the treatment of severe COVID-19 cases, improve the cure rate and reduce the death rate, according to the National Health Commission.

Under the new measures, personal health management has become ever more important for most people. Join our CGTN reporter to find out how Chinese people are taking responsibility.

As China downgrades its COVID-19 response, its leading public health experts say they believe the worst is over for the country of 1.4 billion people.

Explained: Why China suspended some visas for Japan and ROK
