China marks Spring Festival celebrations

The 2023 Spring Festival Gala, an annual televised holiday extravaganza, showcased China's rich, colorful traditional culture through a number of creative performances on Chinese New Year's Eve.

China's economy grew 3 percent to a record high of 121 trillion yuan (about $17.8 trillion) in 2022, according to data released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on January 17.

· According to IMF predictions, China will account for 30% of total global growth in 2023. The IMF forecasts the global economy to grow 2.7% in 2023

· According to the UN World Economic Situation and Prospects 2023 report launched on Wednesday, China's economic growth will accelerate to 4.8 percent this year, compared with a 1.9 percent growth of the world output growth
