Now he develops, deploys, and scales educational materials and on-the-ground project models in rooftop solar, community solar, battery storage, and electric vehicle charging. He is a NABCEP-certified PV Installation Professional and a graduate of Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore.

Karsten Neumeister, EcoWatch Energy Editor
Karsten is a researcher, editor, writer and energy specialist focused on environmental, social and cultural development. Before joining EcoWatch, Karsten worked in the solar energy sector of New Orleans, studying energy policy, climate tech and environmental education. Recognizing the massive energy consumption that goes into the built environment, she wanted to expand her knowledge and experience in the renewable energy sector. She recently joined SUN full-time as a ‘Go Solar Specialist’, where she is helping people go solar, and expanding her knowledge about solar technology, installation, economics, energy equity and other key issues.
