What's a Forest Garden, you ask?

The Forest Garden Approach is a sustainable agriculture practice where farmers plant a variety of trees and plants over a four-year period. Farmers learn how to stabilize their land’s productivity and diversify their crops to build sustainable farming operations and secure their livelihoods. Once established, Forest Gardens are vibrant mini-ecosystems capable of 🌿recycling nutrients, 💧recharging groundwater, 🥭providing food, and 💶providing income.
TREES’ Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal (BHAG) is to break the cycle of poverty and eradicate hunger for 1 million people by planting 500 million trees in 125,000 forest gardens by 2025.

We know our BHAG is a huge undertaking, hence the name, but through the Forest Garden Approach, we’re confident that we can make it happen.
