Patagonia Films presents Artifishal

ARTIFISHAL
The road to extinction is paved
with good intentions
Artifishal   is a film about the high cost of hatcheries, fish farms and human arrogance. We made this film for several reasons. As anglers, we recognize that protecting wild fish is the only way to ensure that fishing will be there for future generations. As taxpayers, we are dismayed at the gross misuse of public money being wasted on a system that not only doesn't work, but actually contributes to the problem it claims to solve. And finally, as concerned residents of our home planet, we view hatcheries and fish farms as part of a disturbing trend to willfully ignore scientific fact for the sake of political expediency.

Take Action to Protect Wild Fish
Wild salmon and Southern Resident killer whales are on the brink of extinction. Now a misguided plan to feed the starving whales with hatchery salmon will push both endangered species closer to the edge, while costing taxpayers millions of dollars per year.

Tell decision makers to stop wasting money on failed plans and invest in science-based solutions to save endangered wild salmon and orcas: Stop hatcheries, reduce harvest and remove dams.
