ideological prejudice and stop creating imaginary enemies,
introducing the "New Cold War" mentality into the Asia-Pacific region
and interrupting the region's stability, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson

Wang made the remarks at a press briefing when asked to comment on a U.S.-Japan
joint statement, which was issued after "2+2" talks on Wednesday
between the foreign and defense ministers the U.S. and Japan.

In other news, China and the U.S. share broad common interests and the
economic and trade cooperation between the two countries is mutually
beneficial, China's Commerce Minister Wang Wentao told U.S.-China Business
Council President Craig Allen via video link on Thursday. He also
expressed the hope that China-U.S. economic and trade relations can go back to
