China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 crashed, with 132 people on board, in the mountains of Tengxian County in Wuzhou City, south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at 14:38 on Monday.
Flight MU5735 was en route from the southwestern city of Kunming to south China's Guangzhou when it lost contact over the city of Wuzhou, the CAAC confirmed.
Video reportedly shows a China Eastern Airlines plane nosediving into a mountain.
Rescue efforts are continuing at the site and an investigation is underway. No survivors have been found so far
One of the black boxes of the crashed China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 has been retrieved, an official said at a press conference on Wednesday.
Rescuers have intensified efforts to search for the second black box of the plane, the China Media Group reported on Thursday, adding that the personnel on site have found wreckage which could be the plane's engine.
