New Educational Resources from the Center for Ecoliteracy |
The Center for Ecoliteracy is pleased to announce the release of four new resources featuring California-grown fruits and vegetables. The resources are for educators, school foodservice staff, and members of the school community concerned with student health and wellness. Enrichment activities provide learning experiences connected to the bounty of California’s agriculture; award-winning posters promote healthy eating; step-by-step photos of culinary techniques accompany recipes developed for school meals; and practical tips outline how to photograph school food.
Nourishing Students: Enrichment Activities for Grades K-5. Children benefit from understanding where their food comes from and how it reaches the table. Enrichment activities offer an opportunity to engage children in exploring the abundance of California-grown produce in after-school, out-of-school, and summer programs.
