Special Invitation | Join the Finance for Nature Virtual Global Series, 20 – 21 July 2020

Dear Forest Digest Colleagues,

It is our distinct privilege to invite you, and visionary members of your organization, to join us in the kick-off of the Finance for Nature Virtual Global Series from 20-21 July 2020. RSVP here by 15 July and see the agenda here.

This two-day invitation-only event will start by diving into answering two big questions on financing nature:

20 July:

How can we get nature on the finance agenda and position nature in a green recovery?

Join visionaries from Ceres, ING, Mirova, Nest Pensions and Swiss Re as they showcase how the finance community can work across coalitions to accelerate nature-friendly investments to unlock the climate and biodiversity crises and ensure a green economic recovery

21 July:

How can disclosure of nature-related financial risks open the door to sustainable financing?

Join a dynamic dialogue on how nature can be embedded as part of ESG risk disclosure processes, as well as offer exciting investment opportunities that deliver for people and the planet. Lord Goldsmith will kick off this discussion with an inspiring keynote.

Join us as we engage the world’s pioneering thinkers and doers from the world of finance, policy and beyond in ground-breaking conversations about the future of finance and a green economic recovery from COVID-19. Each of the two-hour sessions will look to catalyze momentum on nature-based finance ahead of the 2021 Climate and Biodiversity COPs. Being at the frontline of innovative climate-positive solutions, your rich experience would help shape an exciting discussion at this Summit.

Delivered in partnership with UNDP, UNEP, the Scottish Government-backed Global Ethical Finance Initiative (GEFI), the New York Declaration on Forests Global Platform and Climate Advisers, the virtual Series will explore what it takes to deliver prosperity for climate, nature and people.

Future sessions will explore: How do we foster ‘green’ investments that finance the missing middle? What does the nature component of Nationally Determined Contributions look like and what is needed to ensure their investment-readiness? What is the road to COP26 for financing nature?

RSVP here and learn more about the Series.

See you soon!
