Video 3 is live … and one very insightful comment

image
Hi, this is Geoff.
The responses to the first two videos of the Permaculture Masterclass have been incredible: Over 600 comments, questions, and insights that have helped to jump-start a long-overdue conversation about the dire state of our planet, and what we can do to turn the situation around.
Many of you found the story of Rob and Michelle to be particularly inspiring: Two non-farmers previously involved with the oil and gas industry who learned permaculture and are now making a massive impact in their community.
The 3rd video is similar in that it features two more individuals without a farming background, Lana and Angelo.
We quietly did a pre-release of this 3rd video about a day ago, and one member of our community (Peggy) had an incredibly insightful comment about the 3 different stories. I had prepared some words of introduction for video 3, but after reading Peggy’s comments, felt that her words were more than enough:

These videos really are worth a second (or more) viewing. This time, watching the three gardens back to back, what struck me was how much each garden reflected the interests and personalities of their makers. The emphasis on hardscaping and infrastructure in Rob and Michelle's garden feels right for trained engineers. Lana's garden is obviously bounteous, but feels orderly and tranquil, which seems to reflect her needs. Angelo's garden appears to be a riot of plants, a plantsman's garden that is as busy and 'outgoing' as he is, but he knows what each plant is, what it does and how it plays with others, as I would expect from someone with a pharmaceutical background. So, three gardens, each as individual as their creator, yet all based on the same design principles and all equally valid. Amazing system, amazing individual results.

Well said, Peggy.
This is the reality of permaculture: Same core principles, nearly limitless (and varied) applications.
And as always, please remember that this is a discussion, so make your voice heard and share a comment, insight, or question below the video.
Also, since you’re already on my mailing list, you do *not* need to sign up again to get the companion infographic about Food Forests that goes along with the Lana and Angelo video. You can simply click here to view it or download it.
Cheers, and have a great week,
Your friend,
Geoff
