Bio Char in India

Hi Jon

Bio-char has miracle properties to help
revitalize depleted soil all over the
world.

A fine-grained charcoal high in organic
carbon, and largely resistant to decomposition,
it is an ancient method of enhancing soil
fertility and carbon sequestration. It retains
nutrients for plants that would otherwise be
lost to the atmosphere, or washed away by rains.

This could represent a key strategy in breaking
the cycle of slash and burn farming, and restore
our soil.

In this video, Indian farmers tell CNN that the
soil amended by bio-char has such excellent yields
that they now spend 50% less on chemical fertilizers.
These are the lumps of coal we DO want!
