Canopy Tree Project is Growing Deeper Roots

October 14, 2025

Jon,

EARTHDAY.ORG’s Canopy Tree Project has grown into a global movement restoring forests, strengthening communities, and fighting climate change. With our partners, we’ve planted millions of trees where they’re needed most. 🌍🌱

Read more about the Canopy Tree Project.

We’re excited to celebrate the incredible impact our initiative has made around the world. From mangrove planting in India that enhances biodiversity to fruit tree planting in the High Atlas Mountains of Morocco that provides food, income, and women empowerment sessions, we are helping to create real change.

Our updated logo highlights our core mission, championing projects Rooted in Community. This means prioritizing community-based and community-led tree planting initiatives across the globe.

This is more than just a new look — it’s a renewed commitment to our shared mission: planting trees to benefit both people and the planet.

We understand that a tree is only as valuable as the hands that plant and protect it. That’s why our focus is and has always been on investing in the people and communities who nurture these trees, creating jobs and building skills where they’re needed most.

We invite you to take a look, share your thoughts, and continue being part of this growing community. With your help, we can continue to restore ecosystems, protect biodiversity, and make a lasting impact on combating climate change by planting 60 million more trees by 2030.

Together, we can strengthen the roots of the Canopy Tree Project and help it reach new heights.

Donate today.

With gratitude,

Kathleen Rogers
President
