In northern China, a third round of mass testing for COVID-19 is underway in Hebei's provincial capital city of Shijiazhuang. Experts from across the country are evaluating the situation and boosting prevention and control efforts. 

The city is building over 4,000 temporary quarantine housing units for potentially infected people who came into contact with COVID-19 patients.

The authorities have made it mandatory for all those under centralized quarantine to be prescribed traditional Chinese medicine. Specifically, a decoction for lung cleansing and detoxification has been prescribed. The medicine was used extensively last year in COVID-19 treatment in China and is reported to have produced great results.
