Jon, join me to help wildlife this National Threatened Species Day

Hi Jon,

I’m proud to be born in a country with so much diverse and natural beauty. Places that are home to unique wildlife found nowhere else on Earth.

Today is National Threatened Species Day - an important day in Australia’s history.

It was on this day in 1936 that the last remaining Tasmanian tiger slipped over the extinction line.

Sixty years later in 1996, the Threatened Species Network founded by WWF-Australia and the Australian Government’s Natural Heritage Trust established National Threatened Species Day - a day for us to reflect on all the native species we’ve lost and shine a spotlight on those that are facing the same fate.

This National Threatened Species Day, WWF-Australia and I are bringing you some heartbreaking news and a powerful message from some well-known Australians as we rally together to protect our wildlife.

Thank you for joining me in sending a message to your local politician, urging for stronger federal nature laws.

We only have until October to ensure these nature laws actually protect the future of Australia’s wildlife and the places they call home. Will you forward this email to your friends and family? Every voice counts.
