2022 World 5G Conference underway in China

The 2022 World 5G Conference is underway in Harbin, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province. 

The theme of this year's event is "5G-plus by all for all."

Exhibitors at the World 5G Convention showcased various smart scenarios in homes, factories, transportation, medical care, entertainment, and mining. 

Experts say more than 200 operators around the world have deployed 5G commercial networks. By the end of 2022, the number of global 5G connections is estimated to reach 1.2 billion. But there is a large digital gap and industry leaders are calling for unified efforts to expand people's access to telecommunications services across the world.
