An estimated 2 billion people are malnourished, suffering from some form of hunger and/or overweight and obesity. We are experiencing a nutrition crisis exacerbated by COVID-19, climate change and environmental degradation. Building on UN Food System Summit (UNFSS) and COP26, this year’s Nutrition for Growth Summit (N4G) needs to deliberately connect nutrition with the ways we produce, consume, distribute and use our land to ensure everyone has access to a healthy, nutritious, and affordable diet. What we need is a food systems approach to nutrition.

Hosted by the Food and Land Use Coalition (FOLU)Food System Economics Commission (FSEC) and EAT, this event will bring together different stakeholders involved in shaping food systems - producers, civil society, research organizations, private sector, and governments – for an open conversation that mobilizes action on nutrition and identifies solutions to today’s nutrition crisis.
