Look at these lovely ladies!
The elephants in our care have all had difficult past lives. Some were isolated for decades before they were rescued, most suffered from painful wounds and injuries, and they all experienced severe emotional trauma. So matching personalities and physical abilities can be a challenge, and they usually self-select to form small, tight-knit herds of 2-3 elephants. Seeing so many together like this is a special treat!

“This picture was captured on an evening walk with the elephants. This was a rare event where I captured multiple herds interacting with each other. It was interesting to see how elephants of different personalities came together … a once in a million opportunity, and I was thrilled to capture the essence of their unique social behaviour.” - Mradul Pathak
